Library Instruction – Get your information literacy instruction here. Our professional librarians provide assignment-specific instruction to aid in the navigation and evaluation of all information resources available through Medaille. Sessions take place in our computer lab “The Collabratorium,” so that students can immediately put into practice what they are learning.

Librarians are available to provide formal library instruction, either as a mandated library orientation, or by request of faculty or staff. Librarians are able to present on a range of topics including, but not limited to:
- general library overview
- searching the catalog
- research with databases and digital resources
- APA Style and Citation
- Microsoft Word
- subject-specific resource topics (Veterinary Technology, etc.)
- finding company information (Business programs)
- other topics as requested

Information for Students
Students may request extra help on particular topics. Whenever there are no classes in the library, students can get help with the topics listed above. Whenever librarians are on-duty, they are generally available for drop-in help.
Students may also ask to schedule an appointment to get help.
